CHICAGO, Oct. 10, 2007—Slack Barshinger, a leading U.S. business-to-business integrated marketing communications (IMC) agency, is adding to its California office by hiring Stephanie Mikes as account supervisor.
With more than 12 years of experience in marketing and communications, Mikes will continue growing and maintaining the quality of the client relationships in California by working with the Chicago headquarters to develop strategic plans and programs.

Prior to joining the agency, Mikes worked for some of the largest advertising agencies in the U.S., including McCann-Erikson and GSD&M, where she was responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating multi-faceted regional, national and international marketing programs.
Mikes’ background spans the retail, healthcare, telecommunications, finance, oil and gas, packaged goods, hospitality and entertainment industries. She has expertise in brand development and positioning, development and execution of integrated marketing communication plans, lead generation, media planning and buying, and Web site strategy.
She received a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, and a master’s degree in marketing communications from the University of Houston.
